Congratulations to Randi Peters 2024 Amanda Moegenberg Sportsmanship Award recipient and Jonathan Payne recipient of the 2024 Major Carbaugh Coach of the Year award!  

 

All registered players are encouraged to attend the pre-season meeting.  The meeting is an opportunity for the Board to share information regarding the upcoming season with players and coaches. New to 2025, we will also review and vote on by-law suggestions at the meeting.  

 

Games will be scheduled on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.  Wednesday will continue to be used for make-up games.  After the numerous rainouts experienced last year, Sunday afternoons will also be used for make-up games, as needed.   

 

Nansemond River Pony and BCWSL are continuing to make improvements to the field grounds. When at the field, please remember: no parking on the grass, smoking and pets are not allowed at the complex and no alcohol is permitted on school property.   Our contribution to the improvements this season is the installation of a split-unit in the concession stand for heating and air conditioning. We are also purchasing a new lawn mower!  Fundraisers make this all possible, so we will be continuing with popcorn sales by Double Good Popcorn and the 50/50 raffle this season.  New this year, the Double Good Popcorn sale will be a 4-day Online only event with direct delivery!
